Why I Charge Professional Planning Fees
Every trip begins long before a reservation is made.
Behind every itinerary are hours spent researching destinations, comparing accommodations, coordinating transportation, reviewing logistics, sourcing experiences, and ensuring all the moving pieces work together seamlessly.
While some travel partners may pay commissions on bookings, commissions do not compensate me for the planning, research, consultation, itinerary design, revisions, and coordination required to create a personalized travel experience.
Professional planning fees allow me to dedicate the time and attention necessary to design a trip that reflects your goals, interests, travel style, and pace.
How We Work Together
Step 1: Discovery & Travel Vision
Once professional fees are paid, the planning process begins.
During this phase, we will:
This phase may involve multiple emails, phone conversations, and collaborative discussions.
Up to five rounds of revisions are included. Additional revisions are billed at $150 per round.
Step 2: Planning & Booking
Based on the vision, preferences, and special requests discussed during Step 1, I begin developing your travel plan and coordinating the components needed to bring your trip to life.
Once flights and travel dates are confirmed, I proceed with coordinating.

While traveling, cruise line representatives, tour operators, and local partners remain your primary point of contact for immediate travel assistance.
I remain available during regular business hours via email.
For urgent matters, travelers should contact the local partners or the emergency contact information provided in their travel documents.
