How exciting!
For a very long time, I wanted to leave Los Angeles. But because of my children’s autism, I stayed. We have had great support in the area, and that support mattered.
But as my children have grown and matured, so have their needs.
For a while, I thought our next chapter might be in Europe. I love Europe. I even wanted to become a digital nomad and spend more time living and traveling abroad.
After trying that lifestyle for about a year, I realized that a traditional school environment is the better fit for my children right now.
They need structure.
They need routine.
And above all, they need friends.
That realization changed the direction of our plans.
And somehow, Ohio came into the picture.
Cleveland, Ohio, was not what I originally imagined for our next chapter, but I’m genuinely excited about what the future holds for us here.
A new city.
A new community.
A new chapter.
And, of course, plenty of travel.
I may be moving away from Los Angeles, but I’m not giving up my love of Europe. If anything, I’m looking forward to discovering what it means to build a life in Cleveland while continuing to explore and plan travel to Europe.
So here we go.
Cleveland, we’re coming.
