About

Hi, I’m Sofia Ibrahim! I’m a Travel Planner, Immersive Travel Specialist, and Certified Autism Travel Professional. I’ve always believed travel is more than a getaway; it’s a doorway. A way to heal, to grow, to connect, and to rediscover who we really are.

For me, that doorway to discovery opens in France.

From sunlit vineyards and lavender fields to medieval villages, seaside towns, and world-class art, France is a place where culture, history, and beauty invite you to slow down and savor life. It’s the country that shaped my own love of immersive, intentional travel, and now, it’s where I help others experience journeys that are as meaningful as they are memorable.

My journey began long before I became a travel planner.

As a child, I squeezed into vans with my family on road trips across Malaysia and Southern Thailand. We stayed with relatives, shared crowded spaces, and made the best of what we had.

Those early trips taught me two things:

  1. Immersing ourselves in local culture is the best way to travel.
  2. How deeply I longed to see the world on my own terms.

During one of our final family holidays in Hatyai, when I was feeling frustrated about visiting the same place yet again, I made a decision that shaped my life. I told myself, “One day, I’ll fly across the Pacific Ocean and explore all the wonderful places I’ve only imagined.”

Years later, I did just that. From Nepal to California, from Tibetan peaks to the cobbled lanes of medieval villages in Provence, I turned daydreams into destinations. And along the way, I learned that travel is never just about the place; it’s about the story you live while you’re there.

But my most transformative journeys weren’t solo.

They came as a mother to two boys on the autism spectrum. Traditional education systems often failed to meet my youngest son’s needs, so I chose something radical: I turned the world into his classroom. What therapy tried to simulate, travel made real. He learned independence by packing his own bag. He discovered resilience by making friends in unfamiliar places. He learned culture by living it, not simply by reading about it. For us, travel wasn’t just education; it was healing.

If you had told me years ago that one day I’d travel business class, stay in five-star hotels, and enjoy the kind of soul-nourishing journey Julie Roberts depicted in Eat, Pray, Love—all while expanding the skills and life experiences of my children—I would have laughed.

But here I am, living a version of my dream, created on my own terms.

This is why I do what I do.

So that you can experience your version of freedom, growth, and rediscovery while immersing yourself in all the places you’ve dreamed of visiting.

I combine travel expertise with lived wisdom.

My eight years as a flight attendant with Singapore Airlines gave me insider knowledge of aviation and the confidence to navigate the world solo with two children in tow. My love of literature and art shaped how I see travel—not as checklists, but as stories waiting to unfold.

Today, I help travelers create journeys that feel like more than vacations.

I design immersive, intentional, and soul-nourishing experiences in France, whether that’s wandering magical, tucked-away abbeys, cooking with locals, or simply slowing down in a quiet village. Because travel isn’t about rushing through a list; it’s about breathing deeper, living slower, and writing a story you’ll want to tell for years to come.

If you’re ready to stop traveling on autopilot and start traveling with meaning, I’d love to help design your next chapter.

I serve mindful travelers who value a slower, more intentional pace, those who want to truly experience the local culture, not just check off tourist spots.

My clients often include busy individuals who don’t have time to plan, parents traveling with neurodivergent children (including those with autism) who need thoughtful accommodations, and anyone seeking a meaningful, well-supported journey through France.

I provide thoughtfully tailored travel planning that balances structure with flexibility, cultural immersion with comfort. I guide my clients through every step: from navigating logistics to choosing sensory-friendly experiences and child-friendly meals. I design itineraries that support slow, meaningful travel, where both kids and adults can enjoy, rest, and connect.

Want to know more about my experience?

I bring both lived experience and professional training.

I’m a Certified Autism Travel Professional (CATP), which means that, beyond being a mom who’s navigated international travel with two autistic children, I’m also formally trained to help families create travel experiences that are safe, supportive, and joyful. I design personalized, autism-friendly itineraries, accommodations, and activities that minimize stressors like sensory overload and help your family feel comfortable wherever you are in France. Whether it’s ensuring a smooth airport experience, finding restaurants that can honor dietary needs, or choosing accommodations with the ideal setup for your child’s comfort, I help make travel not just possible, but enjoyable.

Beyond certifications, I’ve received extensive training in autism-related therapies and supports, including ABA, speech and language therapy, occupational and physical therapy, Parent-Child Communication Therapy (PCIT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). While I don’t use these therapies in private practice, understanding them helps me anticipate challenges, communicate more effectively, and plan travel that works with your child’s strengths rather than against them.

And finally, I bring something no certification can teach: lived wisdom. From navigating airports solo with two autistic boys and multiple suitcases, to transforming travel into a living classroom, to finding ways to spark joy and resilience in unfamiliar places, I know firsthand the realities of family travel. That experience allows me to meet you with empathy, creativity, and practical solutions you won’t find in a standard travel agency.
